Here are a few tips:

  • Make sure all documentation requested at application is delivered to me as soon as possible, hopefully within
    24 hours of completing the application interview
  • Don't make any large purchases

  • Don't open any new credit accounts

  • Continue to save all pay-stubs and bank account statements

  • Expedite the Homeowners Insurance

Call your Insurance agent. Let him know the date of closing, your loan number and the mortgagee clause and ask him
to fax the completed declarations page, evidencing your insurance to me along with either an invoice to be paid at
closing or a paid receipt to my attention at
412-592-0915.
The mortgagee clause should read:

  • The settlement statement won't be available until about 24 hours prior to the closing


  • Remember, you will need a cashiers check at closing if you need funds to close. Best to get the check made
    payable to yourself.
  • It then can be endorsed at closing
